At last, I've got rid of the front end wobble, yesterday I took the Diversion over to Woosters on the A64 York Rd, they are long established family run business whom I always find friendly and helpful, I asked him to take a look at my front tyre and see if he had any idea what could be causing the front end wobble, straight way he said it was odd why there was a 60gram weight on the wheel and that it had probably been incorrectly balanced to start with, definitly not on a digital wheel balancer like they had which was very accurate, also the tyre had very uneven wear also probably caused by poor balancing and recommended a new tyre, he also said tyre sealant could be a cause but it turned there wasn't any in, 1 new correctly balanced Avon Storm later (couldn't really go for another tyre since there is still a good Avon Storm on the rear) and the bike is smoothest since I got the bike 2 years ago - yipee long may it continue

I also had a "wobble" or rather a vibration (at around 100mph - on a track of course) on my FJR. Turned out to be either punctureseal or a worn tyre. Either way , a new tyre also fixed mine. Just goes to show - sometimes it IS the simple solution

A new tyre on my 900 improved the wobble, but only when I replaced the steering bearings did it go away for good. The steering seemed ok to me, but it failed the MOT. However, the bike was 100% nicer to ride with the new bearings.
