I have fitted two of these to the Divvie 900 fairing... www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/products/211285/kamasa_led_magnetic_torch.html(I got them for £7.50 each). They are about 2.5" overall diameter in Fast Divvie Green, but I guess could be painted with vinyl paint to suit the slower red versions. ;D They sit "behind" the front indicators on brackets bolted to the indicator stalk mounting holes. With the main dipped beam they give a distinctive triple lamp effect. The lamps have their own on/off switches and come with three AAA batteries. I soldered on some copper leads and powered them from the bike using a DC to DC variable voltage converter box. It's set to deliver 4.5V to suit the LED lamps. The lights are fixed to the brackets using car trim double sided tape. As there are now no batteries inside, they could have been bolted, but that tape is amazingly sticky - get them positioned right first time!!! These lights are really distinctive - bright without being dazzling and they stand out so much better than the standard Divvie dipped headlight. They wont help much at night but that's not their point and being LEDs the power consumption is low. I guess they partly hide the oil cooler, but there is so much space around there I can't see the airflow being drastically affected. Pix to follow. Dave

I never seem to have much luck with LED's on the bikes, I think they are a great idea for use as day lights, I had a pair of bright white 12v car LED's and put 1 on the 900 and the other on the CX, the one on the 900 neatly stuck just under the fairing, and both worked fine for about 2 months, but then gradually over a period of the next 2 months, 1 by 1 the individual LED's would first start to flicker then eventually fail until all were out, thats the 2nd set I've tried on 2 different bikes to do the same thing - keep us updated on these CD hopefully they will do better

So far so good on the individual LED life. I have a DC to DC converter delivering 4.5 volts to the lamps so hopefully the power is stable enough to not fry the little darlings. As for vibration - we'll see.

Got around to doing the pictures. This shows one LED lamp at angle quite some way from its brightest spot. Its still a lot more white than the headlamp and a lot brighter when seen from the front. Taken in full sunlight. Here's the bike looking into bright sunlight with no lights Again showing how the LEDs stand out.
