Just got back from a relaxing few days in Cornwall. Thanks to Paul, Andy, Ian, Barbara, John and Lorraine for great company. Also to the happy couple who's wedding we crashed on Saturday night ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) Had a great time and 90% good weather. I had never been to Cornwall before and was treated to some great twisties along with some fantastic scenery. During rest stops we enjoyed ice-creams, cream teas, fish & chips and of course pasties! We also drank some beer! Knackered now after 800 miles in 3 days but determined to find a volunteer to host a proper club run to here in 2008, As usual incrimating photos to follow ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Well like Mac said, we had a great time with plenty of good company, laughs, beer, weather, twisties, scenery, ice-creams, clotted cream teas, fish and chips and pasties. On Saturday we visited Portreath, Perranporth, Hell's Mouth, St Ives, Cape Cornwall and then we ended the day in Newlyn eating the very fine John Dory from my fave ever fish and chip shop ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) On Sunday we visited the tin mine at Pendeen, then on to Sennen Cove, Lands End, Mousehole, St Michael's Mount (visited the Island), Porthleven, Lizard and then ended the run at Connor Downs for a Steak ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Then for the Monday run home, we took the A39 through Wadebridge and Bude to Boscastle. Stunning little place and good to see it recover after the flood of 2004. We then headed to the M5 but decided on a quickie visit to Cheddar Gorge where we had some fun on the road through the Gorge ;D and then back on the M5 for a very boring journey home. Unfortunately Andrew had an off in Walsall ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Turning right at a mini island, he lost the D9 in the wet and sent sliding down the road. He's fine, and the bike landed on the luggage preventing any major damage, but lost the indicator, fairing graze and crack, bent handlebars and bent luggage rack ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Having been to Cornwall for many years this is the first time by bike and it certainly makes a difference, we can get everywhere so easily and quickly and able to park conveniently and park for free! The roads are perfect biking roads. It was a superb weekend - and if you've never been to Cornwall before you really should go! ... however be very careful on the intake of Sharp's Doom Bar Ale. It goes down like pop and it causes a serious loss of memory and brain power after... erm several pints of it. I really don't remember kissing Penfold in a pub full of people, asking the barman if he was gay, exposing my belly outside of the pub to everyone walking in and out, licking the window of the pub where two blondes were sitting, and I really don't remember how the inside of the tent got wet and Barbara's helmet got slightly damp.... ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) however, it seems others are only too happy to remind me ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) But once again, thanks Bruv, Ian, Babs, Mac, John and Lorraine for making it a superb weekend. You're all ace! ;D ;D

Yes had a great time and great company from Ian,Barbara, Mac John and Lorraine. Plenty of cream teas and ice cream ;D Sorry we didn't get to say goodbye to john and Lorraine, was too busy enjoying them fab roads down your end, not enough hours in the day. I think i should have stayed down there, 10 minutes from home and lost the bike on a mini round about. Must have hit a worn out and very slippery man hole cover in the wet that i did not see until after i sent the bike sliding down the road, and me following it. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Got up from the off and first thing ran to the bike to make sure the bike was okay as always ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) , then made sure i was still in one piece. Today i sent the bike in to the local bike workshop i know ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) and straightened a few bits and pieces the bikes all okay apart from a slight crack in the fairing where the indicator folded back on it self. Indicators must be the most sold part for divvys ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) . Good job i had all the luggage on which gave the bike a soft landing. Have too make the trip longer next year. Andrew

Thanks jools, dave and bob the bike is all okay apart from a small crack in the fairing. Mirror studs are okay but unfortunately the albert ring has gone for good. Went around the same round about today but could not see it ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Perhaps one of the locals has picked it up ;D i think i will let them keep it. Sorry to hear about your accident Bob hope you get the bike fixed soon.
