Hi all, have just aquired a 900 Divvy to use over winter, it's been stood 3 years and on it's firtst run started to leak oil from the final drive breather, seems fine at low speeds i.e under 50mph, whats the best way to fix this as the Haynes just talks about the normal stuff and recomendss the dealers for any other stuff, is it an easy job to fix?

Many many thanks folks, this is my first shafty (had a spin on a CX500 many moons ago and said i would get a shaft drive) Anyhoo, Will drain this afternoon and get some EP80 and have a good run.
Feel cheered as did sink a bit, now just to find time to remove the pipes and cure that annoying, blow from No3 header and get the fuel guage working, my light works at 1 gallon left but guage not.
Enjoying the Divvy as our no salt on road machine is a 1200S Bandit, bloody chains.
Again Thanks to all

Is the oil level too high? I could say -- not any more. LOL. Seriously thanks for the reply. Level is quarter inch below hole when cold, very cold. rob

I had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago.
I changed the oil and it hasn't happened since.

The fuel gauge however wont be so easy. I got mine working using tips from the techie section and it was fine for a while. The repair looked solid but its stopped working again.
Its actually not that useful... Shows full for 1/3 of a tank. Shows empty with 2/3 used Some time much later the warning light comes on and you fill up ASAP because you have no idea how much fuel is in the tank.
I recently ran mine totally dry. Brimming the tank (until the overflow vent was flowing) took just over 22 litres so that 24 litre tank capacity on the Yamaha specs is a fib.
