Going to do a full service this weekend and just wondered about the benefits of a none stock after market air filter?
Is it wiorth the extra for a K&N, or you cab get Hi-Flo? if thats right?

A K&N direct replacement won't make any odds, I suspect. Cheaper alternatives should be around as well though - you'll be saving for nappies, won't you? (Congrats, by the way .)

maybe it's only me but i didn't see any noticeable difference between stock and K&N.
The only difference to me is that i need to buy the famous " red" K&N oil, about every second time i clean the filter...
On the other hand i rarely drive my bike to the limits, so i don't know if at high rpm breathes better with K&N.

You'll only ever see a performance improvement if you also help the exhaust to flow more. If you only fit a K&N and nothing else, then the only gain you make is that you won't have to buy another one.You will, however, have to clean it and re-oil it.
