When I got my bike it had an alarm fitted which works great but I only have the 1 key which is also the ignition key.
How would I go about getting a 2nd key for obvious reasons.

What alarm is it? By sounds of it, if it's like the Datatool and/or Meta your ignition key fits into the fob. So if you pop the alarm button thingy open your ignition key should pop out in it's original form. If you catch my drift.
So the key you'll get done at your local key cutters. The alarm fob you'll have to contact the alarm manufacturer.

I think it's datatag?
The key has a button on it & small circuit inside. I'm just worried that if I lose this key alarm & bike are stuffed.

Get rid of it! They're more trouble than they're worth, and the saving on insurance is negligible once the bike is a few years old. I believe it's about a 2-hour job to restore the bike to original.

I had one of these on my Fazer, and then a normal spare key and seperate fob from the alarm company. I agree with Beebs get a normal key cut and spare fob from the alarm company. Bob - I agree in a way, however my premium is higher for my Divvy than my TDM purely because it doesn't have an immobiliser. Regards Dave
