Hi I am getting a slight misfire/back fire on slowing down from speed. It only happens ones or twice. The bike has been sitting for three years it has new fuel and was fully serviced before it was rested up. Would you recommend carb balance/ oil / filters/ etc/ clean the sparks/ /

Has been said to work by others on here.

Usually a back fire when slowing down is caused by a leak in the exhaust system.
However, If your bike has been standing for a while, you may need to get your carbs and jets cleaned out.

When you say injector cleaner in the fuel are we saying the stuff you put in the car....or is there special bike type. what would you recommend and in what quantity. My tank is full at the moment.
i am going to have a full service in a week or so, and the bike shop siad they will also balance the carbs at the same time for free.
The exhuast is fine with no leeks, just had it MOT;d two days ago.
What do you recon??

I think the injector cleaner does cars or bikes, diesel or petrol engines. If the shop is doing your carbs they should be to see if anything is sticking. My thoughts are that you might be getting a backfire due to carb slides sticking and dumping un-burnt fuel through to the exhausts.
