Only took three pics! (It's Monday morning, I'm grumpy & have to work, & so my appreciation of what counts for "good taste" is clearly impaired ) Here at the start Reaper joins Beebs to mention that green Divvies are inherently unstable & should stay at the back out of the way: Yandy Flymo Hedgetrimmer Andy wisely contemplates 'borrowing' an SV for the run: Note the tyre marks along the grass - Andy Hedgetrimmer Flymo Yandy finds the perfect line (well, the perfect line if NOT on the tarmac!), avoiding some potentially nasty road furniture:

The first stop we made got my camera out, pressed power on button to find batteries as flat as a pancake. This was the first run I have been on were I did not bring an extra set of batteries with me. So waiting for all you snappers to show us yours, go on you know you want to. Keith

Th biks start to roll in at McDonalds nice little cafe in the background good coffee the result of my little off road adventure broken screen, broken fairing, and i think the front brake lever is a bit more bent (but not sure it was already bent somewhat) i've since twisted it back round to where it should be !

There were two of these on the run but this one didn't make it all the way round and I spent five hours sitting on this bench by this sign waiting for the RAC!!!

So what was the problem with the bike Ed?

Hopefully the problem was a kinked breather pipe under the tank.
Although Reaper had ensured the breather in the filler cap was functioning, this apparently vents to the outside world via this pipe that passes through the tank and having the tank off is the only way damage in that vicinity can be found. Blockage of the pipe causes the back pressure Reaper was trying to eliminate and so starves the engine of fuel. Different temperatures may have caused the pipe to close up more hence the reason why the problem originally manifested itself after a stop - pipe heated up etc.
The bike shop (Foley Motors, Stoke) are fairly sure that is it. But the service manager ran it to and from home for three days without it missing a beat before they started to strip the fuel system down.
Haven't had chance to give it a good test since getting it back on Saturday so fingers crossed for the Oatcake run.
