ive just had fitted some conti road attack's [front and rear] fitted to the 900 divi and now the front end seem's a bit light and also at slow speed 10 to 20 miles an hour the steering seems unsteady /the bars seem to wobble when i take my hands off them???ive took the bike back and the guys at shop said /seem to think the front wheel bearing's are gone??? but the bike seemed fine until the new tyres were fitted? I think its the tyres, mine was like this after fitting RA, and they turn in a lot faster than the ones that they replaced, you just get used to them

I've just had some RA's fitted too and i noticed the steering was a bit lighter.
I also have steering wobble, but at around 45 mph. It was there before though, and the concensus of opinion seems to suggest it is the natural frequency of the frame and suspension set-up on the Diversion.
You might also encounter a wobble above 85 too, especially with panniers on.
ChiroDave has a lot of info on this and i think he suggested that the lower speed wobble is caused by slightly worn steering head bearings. He should be along soon.
On another note i've just been out for run down to Shrewsbury and onto Welshpool.
Fantastic. ;D
A bit wet but great scenery nearly all the way.
Has the group done a ride through mid Wales to Aberystwyth? If not are they going to do one?

You should organise one If I'm free I'll be up for it. ;D

I posted a while ago along these lines, specifically I found I had lost confidence in the front end in the wet as it seems to follow every little groove etc., though it's less noticeable in the dry. I don't get a wobble, though. Fitting new steering head bearings recently (the old ones were loose and pitted) has had no noticeable effect on the handling.
Subsequently I discovered a strange "crazing" effect on the front tyre and posted this in a second thread, with pic.
I'm still riding it, having had assurance from Conti (or Cambrian Tyres, who seem to be their UK arm) that it's OK to carry on. But I did notice the other day that the front tyre is made in Korea, whereas the back on, bought and fitted at the smae time, is made in Germany. I'd be interested to hear from others who are using these tyres where theirs were made.
On the mid-Wales thing, a small group of us went from Oxfordshire to Aberystwyth the Sunday before last, did 400 miles in all, fantastic.

Just had a look at the Road Attacks fitted to my D9 (about a month ago). Same as yours Bob. Front made in Korea. Rear made in Germany.
I have noticed the steering is lighter and they turn in quicker, but it's not a problem. On the whole I am quite pleased with them.

Haven't looked where my front's made yet......don't generally go into that much detail..... ;D
In all I believe the Conti RA's offer the best price/performance you can get at the mo' - the jury seems to be out on BT-021's atm.
If you haven't done it yet, it's also worth dropping the forks in the yolk between 5-10mm as that also makes an improvement in the handling.
The D9's handling with the RA's on is a treat and you can run in the dry / wet better and with more confidence than you can on other tyres, but I do agree with the comments about it feeling a little light at the front, loaded up at speeds of 80+.....
But and it's a big but, the handling when solo MORE than compensates.
Don't stress the marks/crazing the tyre will pick over time....it's a soft-ish high silica, single compound tyre that strangely does also last well too.
I love 'em - my footpegs don't though.....

I have RAs on my 900. Lovely grip and much faster steering than the ContiForce I had previously. The tread surface has a sort of marbled effect but I'm sure this is simply how the rubber wears. But long tread life is looking unlikely. Pressures should be 36/42. Steering issues... I used to have the faintest high speed weave with the CFs that became much more obvious with the RAs. I put it down to having fast handling tyres on an older style bike frame. The MOT however showed up worn head bearings. Fixed them and the wobble has gone. a small front wiggle at about 45mph is normal - all bikes do it. On a 70s model it happens at 35 and on a full on sports at about 60. Its caused by the tyre self centering and wheel gyro effect. Hands on the bars provide a bit of damping and stop it immediately. Its normal. Damian Harty of Prodrive explained it really well. diversionclub.proboards74.com/index.cgi?board=techarticles&action=display&thread=4630
