I've started getting standard parts (brake pads etc.) from here, as they have quite a lot in stock. They are a 20 minute ride from me.
They used to be a Yamaha dealer, though now it's only Chinese scooters. But they do still know their Yams, and will source either genuine or pattern parts. Most recently had Front EBC brake pads (about £15 - ex-stock) and a steering head taper roler bearing set (£30 - 3 days) - both for the 900.
I've also taken bikes there for MoT in the last couple of years.

Good price for taper rollers I recently paid £35 and thought that was ok. I really prefer the HH brake pads. I have them at both ends of the bike and they last a lot longer than the std pads and they make less black dust.

Good point, Dave, especially about the black dust which is a definite problem as it chokes up the holes in the discs at the rear and I'm sure encourages road dirt to congregate as well, leading to increased wear.
Now I've got decent discs front and rear, courtesy of the scrap bike, I'll try the HH ones next time.
