When you hit the image picture at the top of the reply panel you will get the imaging code as you have discovered. This is a quicker way of adding the code you need to post a picture. Its up to you, you either add it manually or by using the image picture. If you put the url of a picture in between the imaging code you will get the picture come up on your screen. When you click on a smiley it should appear in your text which is useful too.

Hi Paul, an url is the whole web address for the page or picture you are trying to post eg www.yamahadiversions.com/images/ForumFiles/dooferavatar.gifyou then place that in between the (url) and (/url) (with square brackets) so that your picture appears in your post. If you just type the url withouth the (url) and (/url) around it, it will appear as a web link, like the one above has. You do need to host the pictures from your own computer somewhere if you wish to use them, there are good instructions here on how you go about finding the url for you picture once you have hosted it Does that help any?
