Can any one tell me if i have to drain the oil out to replaice a oil cooler feed pipe.
Advice most wellcome .

Can any one tell me if i have to drain the oil out to replaice a oil cooler feed pipe. Advice most wellcome . Wouldn't have thought you would need to drain. You'll lose a bit from the pipe obviously but it's well above the sump level. Be careful on undoing the nuts that secure the pipe to the oil cooler they are flimsy fastenings on the cooler itself and can be easily twisted off. Try and hold the collar on the oil cooler with something whilst undoing the pipe connection. HTH Trev

Bearing in mind how fragile the cooler is... If its the least bit difficult to be sure the big nuts are properly held (with a ring spanner), it really would be worth taking off the fairing. Sounds OTT, but Divvie oil coolers are so not cheap.
