From: Alcoholiday (Original Message) Sent: 03/06/2006 15:33 Can anybody recommend a good cheap supplier of clutch kits (friction plates, metal plates, springs and anything else that could possibly need replacing clutch wise) for a XJ600 Diversion? I can't drop down through the gears when hot, and there is a funny little grating noise coming from the clutch area. Cheers. Dave. From: granhil Sent: 08/06/2006 21:34 www.wemoto.com do friction plates, heavy duty springs and cables. Which is probably what you need. I've just replaced my clutch plates (the EBC ones are heavy duty) and springs with wemoto items. So far everything is ok. We're taking the 900 to Arran for a few days next week so thats when we'll know if they're really 'up to it'. I'm assuming you're doing the job yourself, in which case you'll need to have a smoothish file handy just to take off any 'rough' areas around the tangs of the friction plates. The job itself is pretty straightforward even without the help of a manual. You'll probably find a bit of snatchiness at first, this is just everything 'bedding in' and will need the cable frequently adjusting (though not by much). Fresh oil helps too. the early bird might get the worm, but its the second mouse that gets the cheese.
