I seem to be having a problem with my Divi 900! I took her out today and she started on the button nice! However after a 20 mile ride I stalled the bike and I could not get her started. She would not turn over but instaed made like an alarm noise or screech, only the oil and petrol light would flash. I am wondering if it may be the battery? or the fact that the alternator may not be charging. However after bump starting, I got home and half way turned the lights off. Got home and she started on the press of the button.
Any suggestions???

Sounds like the starter sprag clutch had stuck. Mine sometimes made weird noises when starting the bike, but a bike mech told me it was not unusual.

How do you atart the bike then if it continues? Is the only option to bump?

It sounds like a problem with the electrical connections to your starter. If there is a poor connection you will get the oil light etc come on. On my 900 I ended up cleaning up all the connections and the starter itself and haven't had a problem since.

I would look for a dodgy earth on the starter first of all - once all connections are clean and tight, then think about the sprag clutch if it continues. I had a VFR750, and it was common on those when the engine is warm, but not hot. If you pressed the starter, you got an almighty screech , and just had to keep turning the ignition on and off again until the stater caught.
