Hello, I have leaks on my front bars -divy900 year 2000- I saw that there is rust and they are scratched so I decided to chrome them or buy new ones. Yamaha dealers in Madrid are awful and no way to find the right ones for my bike, other sources founded have problems to determine which ones should be for my model, year 2000, they produce models 95-97 and don´t know whether they are the same or not. Please I need urgent help, did the dimension change from former models? where can I buy the bars? thanks a lot Bah

Are we talking handlebars here ? I don't think they changed at all through the whole production - unless someone knows better.

Thanks Roger, hope someone else could confirm. I found a German manufacturer who can,t confirm that his product can be valid for mine, since he produces 95-97 ones acording to his site. I alrady bought progressive springs and 15w oil.

Bah, are you looking for handlebars or Forks? Don't think handlebars would 'leak'. trev

Thanks Tigger, you are right I meant fork legs. I went to your link and faced the same problem, they sell 92-97: "XJ900N/S Diversion '92-97' Our fork kits come with both fork legs, fork seals & oil. We use the best quality seals & oil. All you need to rebuild your forks like new. Length 625mm Diameter 41mm", and therefore I don´t know if they are valid for the 2000 model.
thanks

hi mate, i would think that the (bars) fork stanchions would fit, the only difference that i know of to a d900 is that they changed the rear wheel from a 17" to 18", not sure when maybe 2000 on wards. hope this helps you

The forks changed at some point to add preload adjustment. Mine's a '96 but it obviously has later model forks because it has preload on it. (In fact, I suspect the whole front end is from a later model because I also have the choke as a rotary lever on the left bar, rather than a pull choke near the steering head).

i too have a 96/n d900, the forks from 96 on-wards have the pre-load adjuster as standard from this year also the handle bar choke. but be careful with the choke,if you don't keep it lubed the lever will snap.

Hello again,
Eventually I solved the problem, a friend in London bought the fork tubes for me, just gave the model, year and body number and received the the tubes without damage. I installed them some months ago together with the oil and progresive springs (wilbers, does it ring a bell to you? ) and I notice driving much nicer, well... pretty happy after that, I highly recommend such installation as you can see within the technical articles concerned with progressive springs. Sorry for not replying earlier with the end of the story, forgot that posted here since most of the times I come here just follow your posts, well English is diffucult for me when talking about technical things, notice the mistake of the post name, front bars instead of fork legs or stanchions.
thanks again

Forgot He bought them -tubes- at sandy bikes spares - they also have rotors or brake discs and the service was excellent and proffessional. Just in case.

I've bought things from Sandy Bikes Spares: they seem to be a good company.
