Hi
Having done 76000 miles and not so much even changing a light bulb I have decided its about time I started doing basic jobs on the beast myself. So please excuse all stupid questions that will be coming from my direction.
My question is ... Can the the K and N air filter for 900 divvy 97 be put straight in by a novice such as myself without need for carb re jetting.
PS . Got Reapers 900 DVD and stuck braided hoses on last week. Nice one. Thanks all.

You should always rejet if you fit a K&N filter, or any free flowing filter for that matter.
You can usually get away with rejetting when fitting an aftermarket can only, providing its the same length as the original.
Most recent bikes tend to run on the lean side from the factory these days thanks to tighter emissions.

I fitted a K&N filter in my divvy and didn't need to rejet anything . Plug and play

I wouldn't worry about rejetting for just a K&N replacement filter - should be fine. If you fit individual pod filters then you need to fit a dj kit. Never seen a divvy with pod filters though - bet it would sound nice - my gixxer certainly did
