The LCD clock on my 900 Dash has worked fine up until about 2 days ago. All of a sudden the time stopped. When I say stopped I mean that the time was clearly visible but the pips in the middle werent flashing and as a result the time wasnt moving on. Now, the LCD itself seems visibly fine in that that is no break up or bits missing on the LCD Display when it is showing the time etc. I thought lets check the fuses and clean the contacts in there ( I used Halfords Contact Cleaner). Fuse looked fine and indeed when I pulled the fuse out the clock went blank and when fuse was put back in again it had immediately reset itself to 1AM( which is what I had expected it to do), although the pips werent flashing. I have noticed that once I have ridden off down the road and done a couple of miles the pips usually do start flashing again and the clocks time then changes. I have a feeling, although I cant yet prove it that it may have something to do with all this wet weather recently. Reason I say this is that when im at work my bike is stood out in the elements (it is garaged at home). Yesterday (Friday)when I finished work it was pouring down and all of a sudden the clock stopped. Again the pips stopped flashing but the time (although it wasant changing) was still being displayed. I have thought " I wonder of the LCD on the Dash itself is just going" but if it were that there would usually be some sort of sign of the actual display being fragmented etc. Has anyone got any ideas as to what this might be ? Any suggestions ?
