So I was doing some garden / clearing work for an elderly neighbour up my street and found this in / under a collapsed shed at the back of his property. He said that I was welcome to it if i could move it that day (I said that wouldn't be fair to him and got him to agree to it as my payment for the work). Its a Yamaha XJ 600S? 1997 I believe. Apparently it has been on the property since he moved there (2 years ago) so no idea how long its been sitting but as I got it for a few hours work, thought it could be a nice little project for me Obviously on the one on the right is my new addition. Threw a new battery in and replaced the spark plugs, she tries to get going but has yet to do so this time. Fuel is disgusting and separated also so drained that now and am a little dubious of the interior condition of said tank. Any suggestions would be nice s Attachments:

Inspect tank internally, and ensure there's no rust. Assuming there isn't, remove the carbs and thoroughly clean all internals (if you're not sure how, seek some help) Check the air filter is clean. fully charge the battery and put in new fuel, then try to start it. Attempting to start it before doing the above can lead to unreliable diagnoses. Good luck.
