Thanks for a great day out guys, really enjoyed today.
Got back home just before 7:00. So that's 1 hour 15 minutes off the sat navs estimate.
All the way down the M6 the overheads were saying delays between J21 & J22. Luckily it was on the north bound and not the south bound side of Thelwall Bridge.
Like I've always said, "smart motorways are only as smart as the idiot inputting the information".

Cheers Dave. You did well to be home for 7.00pm. Think it was about 5.30pm when I arrived home. At the time of writing two of our gang are still in transit.
Helped by the weather, which showed off the stunning Lancashire and Yorkshire scenery, we had a cracking day out.

Thanks for a grand weekend, Brian . Lovely twiddly[1] roads, a fine collection of different bikes to mooch over, & great company to boot! Well done to eagle-eyes for finding the lost gear lever. Even before divesting itself of that important attachment, I think that bike was the most interesting there. It did well (mostly) keeping up with everyone too. Special thanks for introducing Andy & me to the fine drinking haunts of Fleetwood on the Saturday evening - I met a bird in a bar, & woke up with a scar on my forehead, so all in all, a good evening's entertainment! We broke our journey home with a stopover in Middlewich. Got home at 2pm this afternoon. To be honest, I ache a bit, I'm out of practice for such distance weekenders . Worst is my back, after a particularly robust landing after a brief airborne moment on one of the lumpy roads which saw my rear shocks bottom-out . Thanks Andy for sterling work guiding me there & back & tolerating my stops on the way back to rest my back / have a fag! [1] Northern translation; Nadgery. Or some-such.
