Hello all, new member. Just looking around the forum to see if I could introduce myself somewhere but couldn’t find it. So apologies if I’ve missed it. I owned a D900 about 7 years ago and previously to that had a pre- diversion 900F which I really enjoyed too. So I am a big fan.
Bit fed up of modern bikes, all the tech, most of it I just don’t want. So,I am seriously thinking of getting a D9 again, getting rid of the modern, getting back to basics on a ‘proper’ all rounder.
However, the one thing that concerns me is the E10 ethanol in petrol. Is this something to be concerned about or not? How do you guys deal with it? I read that super unleaded doesn’t have it but not sure if that is still the case.
Would appreciate some advice.
Thank you in advance.

Www.Gov.uk/E10Checker - " All Yamaha models from 1990 are suitable for E10 petrol " The website also points out that non-standard parts may affect suitability. (There will no doubt be some conspiracy theorists out there who believe that using E10 will fry your brain or allow the Government to track your location 😃 )

Thank you for replying. I have read a few articles (e.g. there was a recent one in MCN about E10) but there’s no one better to ask than owners of the bike you are interested in. I couldn’t find much in the forum to suggest it’s a problem but didn’t want to assume. I am going to look at a bike tomorrow and if it’s as good as it looks in the photo’s (and hope in person) I think I am going to buy it.
