Wondered if anyone has any top tips.
I have had a problem for some time now with interferance from my GPS when it is connected to my RP1.
I have eliminated some of the noise and have isolated what's left to the connection between my RP1 GPS lead, and Ram cardle (Q Pac). This connection is facilitated by 3.5mm jack plugs male and female.
When I hold the connectors together hence lining them up better the noise goes away, but obviously this is not the best idea when riding the bike !!
Has anyone got any top tips please re making a better connection. I have already tried taping the plugs together with electrical tape.
Thanks in advance

I suspect, that the 3.5mm qpac femail jack socket is worn, so needs either a new femail socket soldered in, or the cable soldered directly onto the femail jack posts, or the qpac opened up and the center post on the femail jack bent further out, so as to make a better connection, you could try pushing the cplug full home, then pulling out slightly, say a couple of mm, then tape

Thanks Ian
I have a spare Qpac, so will try fitting that if the other methods don't work. However the one fitted now is the second one I have had with the problem (first one replaced after I complained).
I was wondering if you could remove both plugs and just solder the wires together ? It's always on the bike so doesn't need to be removable.

If you want a more permanent fit.......that's the way to go m8,
or, if it is a mono (2 pin) rather than a stereo (3 pin) 3.5mm connection, you could try an alternative connector instead.
