Greetings fellow Divy fans... So a year after I started, "Project Diana" is progressing well. Relatively easy compared to some of the challenging projects I've seen on this forum, and you already know the weak points on a bike that is around 20 years old minimum. I've followed a similar path with having the frame blasted and powdercoated (way too much rust to consider respraying it myself and doing a good job on the first attempt), whilst repainting the engine, swingarm, rear brake caliper, triple-tree and a few other bits myself. New bearings (swingarm, headstock taper-roller and droplink), new rear shock, rear brake disc (barely-used Brembo for £40 on the 'bay), R6 blue-spot front calipers, usual consumables and £160 for a local engineering works to sort out my f*ck-up removing the rear brake disc have so far left me £650 lighter in the wallet department. I reckon another £500 minimum will be required (wheel powdercoating, HEL brake lines, rear caliper full overhaul kit, nuts and bolts etc), before I even consider bodywork and decent replacements for the BT021 tyres... Diana is proving to be an expensive mistress but there's light at the end of the tunnel I think. Probably my bank manager looking for me with a torch 'cos the electric's been cut off for non-payment... Rather than clog up the forum with pics, here's a link to them on my OneDrive if you're interested... tinyurl.com/y2bet8qeCheers...BB

Good stuff. Taking pics is something I think of doing after I've finished the job, so well done. Can I ask what was the problem with the ign switch? My switch started playing up - I think it was difficult to actually switch it on. If I remember rightly you had to push the key forward then turn the key, but mine gradually got worse, so before it packed up altogether, I replaced it with aftermarket one from Wemoto.
Anyhow thanks for posting and good luck with the build.
