Input required.
This morning I thought of an idea. Shall we meet somewhere, halfway from here, to halfway from most of you folk, I came up with Church Stretton on the A49. (about 130mls from here).
If we arranged to meet 10.00am to leave 10.30. it would give enough time to get to starting point.
There is a circular route into Wales, returning to the start point (approx) which is about 100 miles.
I thought Sun 28th June, but this does depend whether Wales is "open".
This is a fair old ride mileage wise - this is why I have put it out as just an idea at this stage.
I realise for some folk the start is a lot nearer (great if you are), but at the same time there are folk who are a lot farther away making the run virtually impossible for them.
Thoughts please.

I think we might find a lack of facilities still by then - open cafes, loo stops in particular, for what will be a full dayโs riding.
Mrsm40man & I have had to cancel our holiday in Wales which was due to start there on Friday 26th for a week, as Wales is not expected to be โopenโ by then.
So a good idea to be thinking about getting out to meet up, but I reckon itโs a bit early yet ๐.

Hi Martin. Yes thinking about it, you are right. I thought a bag of sarnies and a flask and we'd be ok. Forgot about the other end. Plus as I have just heard on the radio news, Wales are opening non essential shops from Monday, but still closed to travel. So yes we will put it on hold for now until things get something like back to normal. ATB

Was out at the weekend and passed through Ashbourne. Going to be a while before everything is back to usual, but some cafes were open, toilets too, small stores always open.

My local IAM group have been doing rides with a max of 6 participants for the last few weeks. Some of the refreshment stops need to be pre-booked, and preferably the weather needs to be kind so they can be taken al fresco, but otherwise no real problems. As you say, toilets are now open - in fact a run we did on Wednesday evening stopped in Northleach, where the attendant was just locking up, but kindly asked if we needed to use them before he did so.
So something along those lines would be possible. I'm happy to lead a run from Wantage/Oxford or around these parts if anyone's interested.

Trixie & I stopped by H Cafe today, car park was very busy with bikes. But queuing for the cafe seemed rather slow ๐.

Debs & I have had ride outs to both Super Sausage near Towcester and RaunchHouse in Market Deeping. Both places were busy but no problem getting served.
Most places are getting back to some semblance of normal.
Maybe it's easier to pick a central meeting spot along with a time and let everyone make their own routes to and from?
