Hiya folks. I am on a jolly stayin with my cousin in Salisbury the weekend 13th & 14th July. I am hopefully meeting up with Beehill (Andy) on Sunday morning (14th) for a ride out. So anyone interested, feel free to join us. Andy is hopefully going to sort a route, but he is due to leave for Austria very soon (tomorrow) so more details regarding start point of the run will be added on his return.
OK, so here’s a plan:
Sun 14th July Meet at 10:00 for 10:30 start at Apache Café, Army Flying Museum, Middle Wallop
50 Mile run to Cerne Abbas Giant. (Fuel available en route apparently)
For those that need it a small deviation to Top o Town Café, Dorchester.
35 Mile run to lunch stop at Compton Abbas Airfield
Bimble back to a mystery destination near Salisbury [Mystery because I’ve not found it yet!]
In fact it could be a mystery run ‘cos I’ve not had, nor will have, chance to recce it!!
Cheers
Andy

Looks like I'm OK for the 14th too.
Would you like to choose a pub for a pint on the Saturday evening, Martin?

Sorry you can't make it Matt. See if you can make the British GP more interesting than todays affair.

As soon as I get back I'll sort something out for this. Thinking of going down to the Cerne Abbas giant. Cheers Andy image

Thanks for that Andy. I'll have to look up the meeting place. First chance I've had to look on here. Been busy. Looking forward to the weekend.

Would KML files of the (planned) route be of use to anyone. If so pm me an email address and I'll pop them across.
Cheers Andy.

Not sure what kml files are. I'll Google it. I have a garmin - think they use gpx files. Google earth or google maps --answered my own question.

As long as you’ve sorted the Red Arrows fly-by & the fireworks at the end, it’ll be fine 😀.

Had a load of hols still to book so decided to have a week touring the south.
As I was down this way, why not include the darn Sara run.
I'll see you at the cafe in the morning guys.

Maybe avoid the A43 ( Silverstone) on the way down, because of the F1 traffic.
