Is it worth having the audible set up? I never used it on the truck. But as you have to concentrate on the road so much more on a bike, especially in town, I thought I might get the connector. Whats the verdict from those who have used it? Worth it or not?

Gordy, I have the connector for the autocom. I have used it and the instructions are very clear (better than the jabra receiver I use the tomtom with in the car ). The only downside I have with it (and it's quite a big downside) is that you can't bike power the tomtom bluetooth dongle, so if you're using it a lot you obviously have to keep taking it off to charge. I can bring mine up to the run and you can give it a trial if you like. Trev

Gordy I have mine set up with my Autocom as well, but with one difference. I bought an extra cable from autocom which allows me to connect my in ear stereo headphones (with a bit of alteration I could also use my in helmet speakers if I wanted to but prefer the in ear ones. Brilliant clarity but you are hooked up with an extra cable. I would recommend setting the audio up, well worth it. Cheers Keith

Hi Gordy Hope your'e keeping well, now as to your'e question about having audible set up, yes well worth it, I have an old steam driven Garmin street pilot 3 (with a very sultry Gladys) connected to Autocom, and find it very handy - especially in busy towns- where I can follow instructions without having to keep looking at the screen.........I don't have to obey them every time, but if I don't she will sulk, sometimes for several miles!! Ride Safe Regards Bob

Trev Trev, very kind offer mate, you must be one of these English gentlemen I meet occasionally ;D On the point about charging the thing. If this means carrying yet another charger while on tour it might be a big downside, especially with the wee FJR panniers. Thanks for all the advice peeps.
