Well, Halloween and Bonfire Night have been and gone, only a few weeks now to Christmas, so time to start thinking about JJ19.
Any preference as to a date? This year the weather messed us around a bit if my memory serves, but hopefully next year will be kinder. The first Sunday is the 6th, but I'm quite flexible if other dates would be more popular.

Sorry - I'm listening, but I fear it's a tad far at that time of year. Unless, Bob you can guarantee wall to wall sunshine .

Banner done . When / where are we meeting this time? Thanks, Martin. Why change the habit of (what seems like) a lifetime? Wantage market place, 10:00 for 10:30 depart.

Well, only 10 days to go, and the weather forecast this far out is looking reasonably promising, if not exactly tropical.
Good thing we moved it to the 13th as I'm currently suffering with a heavy cold that's hanging around longer than it should. I blame the grandkids - buggier than a Bugs Bunny cartoon on fast forward.
If anyone who's going to be in the locality on the evening before would like to go for a pint, I'll be happy to provide a taxi service to/from a suitable hostelry - suggestions, Martin?

Well, Jools is working next weekend, and I find myself at a loose end... if I can manage to get my rear master cylinder fitted and bled, I'll try to be there. Or maybe I could come on the Zed (although it's hideously uncomfortable)

Aprilias & rear brakes - aren't they mutually incompatible?

Forecast still looking reasonably favourable.
Did a recce of most of the route today.
It's three-parter, with a long-ish stint to the lunch stop, and two shorter ones in the afternoon. There's a very well-priced petrol station towards the end of the second leg, i.e. after about 100 miles, for the benefit of those of us with diddy tanks. I confirmed that the café will be open for the afternoon stop.
It looked as if there had been the odd shower, particularly towards the western Cotswolds, so plenty of greasy slime in places. Hopefully it will have dried up by Sunday.
Any takers for a pint tomorrow evening?
