After a too long break from fiddling with the spanners, I`m finally finding room for a bit of shed time. The quest has resumed of re-assembling the D9 but found the undertray/ rear mudguard has some damage around one of the indicator mounting holes. It could be bodged at a push, but as the bike is completely in bits, I`ll never have a better chance to replace it, and I`ll probably regret it if I don`t, so if anyone is breaking a D9, or has one in VGC gathering dust in the shed and don`t want a fortune for it, I`d be interested,ta.

Mine is good but no good - the old indicators ( one complete one just a stub) won't come off.

I had same problem when stripping my bike down to replace the rear susp. All the crud from back wheel ends up destroying em. They could be cut off on yours and leave the undertray untouched - couldn't they?

Mine is good but no good - the old indicators ( one complete one just a stub) won't come off. Thanks for checking it out for me anyway Martin, and that`s the same reason I need another one. One of the indicators came off o.k.but the other just wouldn`t budge. I soaked it repeatedly for 3 days with all manner of lubricants but no use. In the end I tried to, as gently as poss, drill a few small holes through the side of the nut in the hope of splitting it but it still generated enough heat to melt the plastic around the mounting hole. It was cracked anyway so no great loss, just a PITA finding a definite good one that's not cut or cracked on fleabay! The real wounder was after destroying it, the sodding nut came off just with my fingers!!
