My Yakumo PDA arrived today and so far I have been very impressed. Untill last week I had never heard of Yakumo or the Marco Polo software that came with it.
Via my PC, I had the whole lot up and running in 30mins. The longest part being the printing of the user manual. There is still some way to go to get the best out of the navigation software, so more play time is needed. So far all I've done is to drive about 10 miles from home put in my post code and it took me back to my front door with out a hitch. It has all the usual overlays imbedded like hotels, petrol, etc: but so far no speed cameras, but I'm still looking.
The whole lot with software, car mount, charger, PDA with its own flip up satnav anntena, leads and plugs cost £190 + £10 postage from Montys of Sheffield (subaru dealer) who are regularly on ebay. I must admit to being a bit lucky on the bidding but thats all part of the game.
So all thats left to do now is get a cigar socket on the bike (or similar) Connect the earphone socket to my comms box and theres no reason it wont work on the bike.
Excellent value and highly recommended.
