Hello
I am looking to install the headset from a Intaride RP1 or similar into my Arai Condor, which has a fixed lining.
Has anyone had experience of this (or similary)? I was really hoping for some advice/reasurance before I start pully bits out of my lid willy nilly.
Cheers
Alex

Hi alex.
I have a HJC with fixed lining, I managed to sort of peel the lining back, slotted ear pieces into ear recess, (took foam bits of ear piece) pushed wires to bottom of lining /helmet. ran them to the left side and out. then just put lining back and it re stuck itself !
bit trial and error i'm afraid, but mine feels comfortable, and no wires inside can be seen.

I guess the best thing to do is have a go and see what happens, any idea what sort of glue to use if i am not as fortuante as you?

Glue !! yuk...
have to be too carefull, most glues would prob disolve the lining !! i don't think it will need any though
Mine just re stuck, with a bit of persuasion, but once put back on yer head for a while, soon re stuck !
Think I would go for two way tape!!

Before going to all the effort of fitting it and closing it up do the following
Without removing any lining first just hold the speakers in place over the recess and put the helmet on. Yes your ears may catch and get hurt...grin and bear it.
What you might find, such as I did, is that the speaker ecesses do not actually line up with your ears.
So when I did lift the lining of my RXR Shoei I had to hack away a bit of the styrofoam before positioning the speaker and holding it in place with some gaffer tape before refiting the lining.
