Just a quick couple of questions; any help appreciated.
What size crush washer do I need for the sump plug?
Is there a crush washer on the shaft drain plug as I'm doing that at the same time? If so, what size again?
Thanks

I use dowty washers, though I buy a box, so just pick one that fits, they are crush washers with a rubber seal, and they last a long time.

Or perhaps not. They are out of stock.

Or perhaps not. They are out of stock. You realise we're all thinking you meanly bought up all their stock .

Does a crush washer actually crush when tightened by a limp wristed suvverner?

I merely had a look to see what I am supposed to be using instead of my 10p copper washer. I just noticed that they didn't have any in stock is all. However, I do happen to know an alternative supplier of crush washers. They just happen to be four times more expensive.

Just cut one out of a piece of 2mm aluminium - always works for me.
Size - the hole in the middle has to be big enough for the threaded end of the plug to go through and the outside diameter has to be small enough to fit inside the flat on the sump.
