Was using mine on the Stones run - didn't you hear me??? I SAID, I WAS USING MINE ON THE STONES RUN, DIDN'T YOU HEAR ME???
Great piece of kit. Considering I use darn good ear plugs I can still hear the conversation either pillion or bike to bike at well over the legal speed limit. God knows how clear it is without ear plugs - I don't intend to find out. The only downside to the unit is the pathetic din links they use for helmet to cable link. The pins can easily be bent if you are not careful when connecting (as Judith found out recently). However, there is a very easy little mod that you can make on the connectors that will stop this happening, so I'd give the unit 9 out of 10. Would also give the Kenwood UBZ-LJ8 that I got with it a big . Terrific little unit.

And what would that mod be?

Believe it or not (and I am sure you will as you know what an honest chappy I am :-)
The sound would be worse without earplugs as you have the wind noise to deal with.
Earplugs seem to filter out the wind noise and make other sound clearer IMHO
Dave : -)
Ps Take it you didn't hear the bit when Judith said "JK watch you don't knock my lid off the seat ;-)
Pps If it is any consilation I also dropped mine at White Horse hill but I think only Miscy and Denise noticed : -(

I think that's about the last thing I heard before someone turned the lights out!!!

I always feel better after a confession too Anyway, Miscy was probably too busy checking out your sliders to notice anything else....

The problem with the din plugs as you probably know is that if you don't get them aligned up perfectly before pushing together you are going to bend one or more of the pins back. This is what happened to Judith. All I've done is joined the two connectors together and then super-glued two locating lugs on the outside of both the male and female connectors. Now I can even plug the connectors together in the dark if I have to as the lugs just slide up against each other and then you push to connect. Really simple, but works like magic!
