Replacing the swinging arm bearings on my 600 and have got the arm off. Had a look at my Haynes manual and it helpfully said that if the swinging arm bearings need to be replaced then take the arm to a motorcycle repair shop. Terribly helpful.
I have the new bearings bought from Wemoto. I would have assumed the old bearings could be drifted out and new drifted in. Any tips from those who have done this job before?

I haven't actually done this job on a Diversion, but on other Yamahas I've done as you said - just drifted the bearings out.
Fitting the new ones needs a bit more care - I used the old spindle as an aligning tool to keep the new bearings square, and squeezed them in gently (Ooh, missus!)
Hope that helps - Bob

It does indeed help, thanks Bob. The Divvy has needle rollers and a large spacer that runs the width of the swinging arm and the spindle runs through that. Did you use a press o just tap them in with a socket or similar in the usual manner?

I don't have access to a press, so it had to be gentle tapping with a piece of tube or something. I may have used one of the old bearings to cushion the blows.
