So...like some people have done in the past I have done also, I shall explain my tail of woe.
I was out riding with mate after doing the long haul from the midlands to surrey nothing unusual...;-) but my oil seemed a bit low, I was getting a little rattle and noticed the oil had dropped to about half way. So I stopped off at halfords good old halfords......that one is up for debate. I brought a five litter...yes people you know whats coming, I was distracted by my mate chatting (not his fault) and yup, in the bottle went (bare in mind this is only my second bike and my first ever big bike) so a 32000cm3 became full to the breaking point......now I did an even more stupid thing by starting it and jumping on it to ride.....100yards if that...SMOKE SCREEN and the car behind did not like this at all realizing this I slung it to the side of the road, I got my tools out (as i do carry some with me) and if by magic the oil drained (some) tried to start nope nothing, phoned for recovery (obviously nothing they can do) Then the nice man that he was has a playful mock at me lol feel free ;-) he explained if its in the air filter its a big job and boom its in the air filter....after getting to my GF I took the air filter out ---- W*NK'D aint the word.....Cleaned sparks, complete oil drain, ran engine for like half a min to clear top head out - was advised to by GF's Dad. (gotta say its funny seeing oil fly out the spark holes haha. So it was completely drained....put some oil back in and left air filter out - was in petrol to get rid of oil... (i had to get to an interview in London) so I did that and it was running fine par my indicator breaking and speedo conking out ?? (random I know) so yes got it back to GF's then stuff started going wrong..like WRONG...I replaced the air filter for a new one instead of using old one as.. I now have no acceleration it conks out some times around 3000rpm - this is just in first gear as far as I know did not want to keep trying....I have looked around for a leak and nothing I also have a nasty rattle like a tick.... if anyone could explain to me the following things:
what the hell is going on with it
how do i fix it - IMPORTANT got second interview for like my dream job (dose not include working on bikes your all fine)
why dont these bikes have dip sticks lol
what could be up with speedo as that not reading either
PS I am just about to check air filter again just in case any oil settled and is now messing up my new filter.
