Blanking the exhaust studs doesn't have any long term effect, it is there for emissions.
firing order is 1243, 1 is on the left as you sit on the bike.

Tis True that the firing order is 1-2-4-3 but the numbers on the coil leads are the cylinder Numbers. So the coil leads go 1-2-3-4 left to right (nearside to offside)

Good point Ken, I assumed everyone would know the Divvy cylinders number from 1-4.
If you don't you probably shouldn't be embarking on servicing your bike, but if you don't you probably don't know that either.

You can change oil, clean and lube chain, service brakes, change wheel bearings etc without knowing the intricacies of the coil lead numbering. I did. (Unless your post was a veiled jest on the fact that there are 4 cylinders, not 1,2,3 or 6 or whatever.)

Though most people carrying out those tasks can count from 1 to 4. If you think firing orders mean we change the physical position of cylinders there's little hope for you.

If you think firing orders mean we change the physical position of cylinders there's little hope for you. My old boss was forever firing orders from the doorway of his office ....
