Dear All,
I'm after, and willing to pay a suitable amount for, a working calliper that will fit the the rear of my 1998 XJ600s Diversion. Or, if anyone is skilled in the refurbishment of said items, I'll be happy to post off my ceased up one, with pictures of the queen and have it posted back. Plan C is to take anything that will fit, even if it is not an original part, but has the same mounting dimentions. All advice and suggestions welcome. Cheers Richard

Unable to find anything suitable on flea-bay, everything looked rusted up and nasty, I chose to do a calliper rebuild, with £5 worth on new runner seals, a touch of calliper crease, a sheet of ultra fine abrasive, plenty of break cleaner, and a couple of hours in the shed. Having access to an airline made a HUGE difference to being able to do this - popping out the pistons. The big seals were easy to install after using an angled pick to clear out the crap and residue from 20 years of use. The little seals took about 80% of the time, and were a right fiddle/faff, but overall a much, much easier job to do than I thought it was going to be. With the calliper splitting in two, I'll be happy to take on another one, but can't imagine doing this on a one bit piece of kit. I'll be happy to share tips/hints with people if they are planning to do the same. Cheers Richard
