Well, what a scorcher! I'll be one of the first home I guess, seeing how I bunked-off early, from Foxton Locks. Was feeling quite exhausted after a Saturday evening in the company of Trev & Brian, & a lively hoon on the run today. A good turn-out - nice to see you all . Sorry I didn't manage to say farewell to everyone - we got a bit spaced out at Foxton. Thanks to the deputy run leader & his backmarkers, & to Trev for the hospitality & the run to the start this morning . My few pics are here: diversionclub.proboards.com/thread/23744/fen-run-2016

Debs & I made it home ok after a very warm and enjoyable day out.
I must admit those KTM's can really hoon so long as they are red lined in every gear!!
Thanks to the Green clan for a great day (hope Bob is feeling better soon) and to all that attended.
See you again soon.
Mac & Debs

Thanks to the greens for a cracking day out in the sun, sorry you couldn't make it bob hope the leg is better. Your new bike is very nice and fast Good to see everyone again and this time was able to eat out side at the foxton locks No problem Adrian, I couldn't make sence of the road signs either on the A605 at oundle nothing was actually indicating for corby apart from the A14 signs . Had the satnav on fastest route which was going in the direction anyway but wasn't interested in going on the A14 so turned off.

Got back home about 5:30 after 268 very enjoyable miles (except for the stung throat! But even that didn't dampen the day). It was good to meet you all, many thanks to the Verdes for organising the run and especially to our glorious leader and his henchman and henchwoman who between them managed to keep a very unruly bunch ruly Will perhaps see see all or some of you again, the jury is back out re selling the bike, watch this space!

Apologies for the late post, been busy As everyone says, a cracking run ably conducted by young Greeny and assisted by the matriarch, up to and including wiping junior Greeny down after an accident with an ice cream (well that's what he said) Great company as always and a good night out with Brian and Martin pre run, lovely run there and back too. Had a ride to Tadcaster with Brian on his way home today, so all in all about 500 miles over the two days. God it hurts, but it's nice to be back in the saddle again. Has anyone posted what happened to Papa Greeny Till the next time, thanks all.

Ps....why is this thread in sign ups ? Cos that's where m40man started it! If that is wrong and he needs to be punished (I couldn't possibly comment on that being so new) then careful thought needs to go into what type of punishment should be administered, those that know him may say he actually enjoys some of what many may call punishment (once again I couldn't possibly comment).

Greetings to all. Arrived home around 2.00pm today after riding thru some horendous traffic jams - Selby, Otley and Ilkley.
What can I say about the weekend? Well I am aching a bit - only to be expected really about 600 miles round trip.
I'd like to thank the Green clan for putting the run on - you did a great job - it really is appreciated. Get better soon Bob btw.
Nice to see everyone too.
A special thanks to Trev and Di for their hospitality.

OOPS ! So you`ll be requiring the stick now then ? (for walking with I mean, and not for beating the perpetrator of your current situation) Does this mean Pete gets to keep the KTM for playing on ? Gws matey.

I would like to thank all the peeps that turned up for the run and the remaining Green Clan for making it a success. Next time I will try and be present at a run I've organised. But I was quite shocked. ...... Peter actually said he 'sort of liked the KTM'. Apparently he only hit the first shift light a few times, the next shift light is 2000 revs higher, oops did I forget to tell him that there was a second shift light.😈
thanks again to you all and I'm glad you had fun.
Bob
