Got the divvy stripped to rebuild it after a recent spill and noted the backplate on the final drive (a thin metal dish type cover that sits behind the final drive) spins freely should it not be fixed as I presume when it's all put back together may rattle or is that the way it should be? Cheers

Aah I may have sheared the screws then somehow in the off ....that will be interesting! The wheel is off but the backplate is still on there...sounds like I have yet another job on the list to do then! Cheers

So....while putting the front end back together today I had a 5 minute look at the rear end and my wheel/final drive dilemma.
The wheel is off and contains the Cush drive rubbers...however,the cover plate and hub (9 and 12 in the diagram linked to in a previous reply) are not attached to the wheel but are instead still attached to the final drive....so am I right in presuming those two parts should be attached to the wheel when it's taken off of the final drive? If so will I be able to lever that hub off, with reasonable force, without causing any damage?!? Cheers
