Hi , Dave the divvy has an annoying fault persistently showing on the rev counter , it only reads the revs momentelary for a second before dropping back to 0 then 10k red line and so on . After reading another post ref this it points to the TPS sensor & how to adjust to reset this , I've tried this but to no avail , it just keeps doing its thing of reading 0 then 10 k . My question is this , if the sensor can read the correct revs intermittently then it points to the TPS sensor will need renewal ? and after finding two different priced TPS sensors on e-bay priced at £57 & £120 will the cheaper OE part be ok ?? Anyone done this ? Many thanks , Jeff ........

Check the wiring before replacing.
Firstly check the resistance of the TPS by using a multi meter. Set the multi meter to K ohms range then connect the probes between Blue and Black/Blue wire terminals on the sensor side of the connector.
Now measure the resistance range by connecting the meter probes between the Yellow and the Black/Blue wire terminals on the connector, then slowly open the throttle from fully closed to fully open.
Maximum resistance is 5.0 plus or minus 1.5K Resistance range is Zero to 5.0 plus or minus 1.5K
