For some reason I tend to break windscreen screws quite often. Has been lots of reasons for this. Tipped bikes, minor crashes, owner stupidity, etc.
I know that there're screws available in lots of different metals (aluminium, stainless, titanium) but the thing with nylon is that it breaks before the screen which imo is a good thing. A new screen cost more than a set of screws.
Skidmarx have them for £3.95, but last time I checked postage outside UK was waaaay to much.
Asked the local Yamaha dealer, but they wanted £6 for ONE SCREW!
Found some m4 m5 nylon screws on ebay that could work, but they have a pan head, not the thin half dome of the original.

I have a couple of cut down number plate screw nuts holding my screen in situ at the top, which seem OK even on a bike capable of 170, a Futura sports tourer.

To bad they don't have the thumbscrews in black. That would look quite good even if not original. Also, something like this could work. Or the stainless, rubber backed washers on the same page.

Apologies Klas for hijacking the thread, incidentally was it you asking about Kilometres per Litre, if so how did you get on with the 900? Have you completed your task and is she improved?
