I'm thinking about doing a bimble from Ross on Wye to Abergavenny via the B4521 some time in March or early April. It's a nice twisty B road via some very pleasant scenery. The return journey can be a straight blast up the A40 watching out for the speed traps around Symonds Yat.

Well it depends on when Easter is, my boss hasn't published the on call rota yet so if I get in with a pre-emptive strike I should be able to name a weekend. I'll have a look at the calendar when I get to work.
As to starting point, either somewhere in Gloucester (my place maybe) and also Ross.

Im interested. Clearly depends on date and availability. The earlier you can set the date the better for me - and I'd be passing through Gloucester (? meeting M40man on the way) to get to Ross so the former seems a good meeting point.

OK how about March 19th (Saturday)? My place at 10am. Ross on Wye at 11 or something. Then on to Abergavenny and stop at the bus station which seems to be a favourite bikers meeting point.
Weather dependant of course. There's no point in getting soaking wet.

Just getting there is a fair run out for us Dave! And virtually all motorway unless you want to hack through Shrewsbury, Church Stretton, Ludlow and Hereford. We would have done a run before 10 o'clock!

what about from Aber, up the Vale of Eweyas (spelling?), Gospel Pass, Hay, Golden Valley, Hereford, Ross?
A much more interesting run for those coming from further afield.

Way too far for me. I can't do more than an hour without a goodly break. I'm quite happy to do my original plan on my own if people want to go on further. I only ever intended it to be a couple of hours bimbling around.
