Took the KE100 for a spin this evening. Not far at all (20 miles, max) & mostly tarmac but did pop down this little byway right near me: Not quite up to DahDit's standard of tour, but then I didn't need to carry provisions or a tent .

I do like that little bike. It looks so useful, probably be as handy in Town (London) as it is on the green-lanes.

I'm guessing a few little shakedown rides before you leave us all in your exhaust smoke on the CtoC. I'm gonna take the GP on the commute sometime soon. have to wait until the support towbar is back on the road.

Is that the Ridgeway?

No. The Ridgeway is a restricted byway these days. This is a regular byway, from Groovy Grove to Hanney. It's pretty well kept, I guess because there is a bridge over the railway which engineers occasionally need access to. Around here the legal byways seem really broken up - you can't string them together or cover more than a couple of miles without reaching tarmac again .

Thanks Martin - interesting the roads that are under your nose but you don't know they're there.
