Hi
If I'm reading things right the red oil light on a 600 is really a low oil level light not a low oil pressure light?
If so, is there a way of fitting an oil pressure gauge or low pressure warning light?
Thanks
David

Yes that's right. As for the second question I don't know. I suspect there may well be a way of fitting one but at what pressure would you set the warning?

So, if you lose oil pressure you get no warning until you seize up.
Hhhmmm...
Thanks anyway. maybe a gauge rather than a light would be useful

To be fair, I didn't really need the light as the hot oil on my boot kinda gave it away . NB: Plenty of time to pull over, no apparent engine damage [1]. [1] Even when it did it again [2] [2] & again .

I have never heard of anyone fitting a oil pressure gauge, but can't see how it would be that difficult, you just need to fit a sender, and gauge, lots of aftermarket ones around,
Can't see why you would want one though, just another gauge to frighten the life out of you in hot weather!

I hear what you say. It's just a given these days that motors have oil warning lights as they do alternator, temperature etc. I guess you're right. I'll forget the idea lol

I've had cars with temperature warning lights. By the time they come on it's too late.

How about an oil temp gauge? That should be easier to fit and still give some warning that things are going wrong.

Possible.
A pressure gauge would be better but where to plumb it in?
