Nice. Count me in. Will there be a sign-up sheet ? Of course they will be, as soon as someone with more ability sorts it, are you volunteering?

... are you volunteering? OK, I will, as soon as you clarify the run day. Is it Saturday 18th or Sunday 19th April ? Did no one buy you a 2015 calendar for Christmas ? Is the forum newsfeed correct ?

April? Lake district? That's not too far away, and it might have stopped raining by then. Provided my bike hasn't rusted solid when I eventually have the chance to take its cover off, I'm in! Probably just for the rideout ATM..

The Saturday night will be in Cockermouth town centre, so accommodation within reasonable distance is worth seeking out,
If anyone wants to camp we do have a reasonable size lawn, but there are camp sites not to far away if you prefer that,
If there are people here around lunchtime on the Saturday, I will put on a short sight seeing tour of the local area,
Someone has asked about breakfast, I could possibly organise breakfast on the Sunday, but I would need fairly firm numbers, there's not a lot of cafe's and those that are open tend to open around 10.00am, so they would need to open earlier, or maybe a breakfast run to another town, that may be do able,
I have been looking at possible routs on Google Earth today and now have a better idea of great roads in which to form a run, which is a start, just need to actually ride it and see if it works for real.
Any questions, just ask!

First trial of the Border raid today, plenty of snow about,
Worked out pretty well, with fantastic roads,
Timings seemed to work,
Only downside, is that the lunch stop I had planned was expensive, slow and not very nice, so something else needed there!

(Ian, what was the name of that B&B again ? The white cottage one down the bottom of your road and turn left towards town, where BMBob and Carol & I stayed last time. You reminded me only a few months back but I still can't find the thread )

Darn - clash of dates so I can't make it. Never really explored that area, so it would have been a good opportunity.

Ok I chickened out of the Whitehaven run, partly due to nearly crashing the demon Pit bike, it's been in the back of the shed 2 years, and am having second thoughts. No longer a full time carer I may try combining it with a trip to the IOM! Needs holiday. Also I think a good run on the Divvie now the brakes are sorted, and a month hopefully to get Siberia out of the way, I'm in, if that's OK.

That's fine, all welcome, I will update Monday, as I only have a iPad at home and it's a pain to update on that! I think you should re consider Whiehaven, it's going to be great fun, possibly the best run of the year!
