Hi all First post on this forum I've just bought a 1994 XJ600 to do as a 'project', not sure of the direction yet but leaning towards street tracker. My problem is which model of XJ I have. As I say its a 1994, first registered aboard then registered here in 1997 Dont know the country of origin but after contacting a German site no record was found so they recon not EU My manual says Diversions came in 1992 and following the purchase and then the return of a set of ss exhausts ! I think I know its not a Pre Diversion I hope the picture I've added comes through Any help would be greatly appreciated. Great Forum Can I stay if its not a Diversion ? Thanks Photch

Welcome,
Most probably a Seca II. If it was bought abroad then imported over here it may well have been bought by a Serviceman in Germany tax free etc.
I know I saw them for sale at the dealerships at RAF Rheindahlen when I was there. A Diversion by any other name....for U.S. / Australian markets.
Rgds,
Neil

The first 4 characters of the engine or frame number should be enough to identify it.

Thank you, can start looking for second hand downpipes now as I stupidly cut the old ones off to get at the rusty nuts and having a new ss system on route....that was the wrong one ! Ah well learning curve etc etc. The bikes lived outside for 12 years and is testing my patience and supply of penetrating oil Right back to it....propane blow torch and 4lb lump hammer at the ready
Thanks again
