A few pics of what I'm up to over winter. Will be adding more as I go but plan is: Grease swing arm bearings, grease head bearings, clean & balance carbs, fit new air filter (possibly k&n or pods then dyno jet to suit), service brake calipers & fit a set of hel braided lines I've had for the past year, fit some renthal bars & possibly a twin head light/bikini fairing. Bars/fairing can be done anytime after every thing else. Last time it will be complete for a while Removed seat & tank To gain access to top damper bolt Back wheel is out Disconnect bottom damper mount Removal of swing arm pivot bolt Swing arm is out On the bench Not bad for a 17yr old bike Damper looks a bit sorry for itself, but still serviceable will give it a lick of paint along with the swing arm Surprising how much crud is behind front sprocket cover Rear brake caliper removed for a service & having braided lines fitted

Nice to see a bike getting a decent spruce-up . I notice you Lincolnshire sorts all seem to have decent garages/spaces for your fettling! Although your tool tidyness is on a par with mine .

Where you say "Surprising how much crud is behind front sprocket cover" . . . . I'm surprised how little there is, compared to some I have taken off.

Not updated this thread for a while but, due to Christmas, illness & family issues I ain't been in the garage. Anyway managed to spend a couple of hours in there at the weekend. Got the front caliper off gave it a clean all looks good so thats back on the bike. Rear caliper had a slightly stuck piston but with a little persuasion it freed off, but I did distroy 1 bleed nipple freeing it off. Will be replacing all 3 bleed nipples on the bike & rear brake needs pads. Sorry no photo's this time as I said I was only out there a couple of hours & it was bloody cold in the mancave. Hopefully next time I'm out I'll get some pics & get more done. Watch this space
