Hi my 1996 seca II engine won't rev and only starts with easystart even with bags of choke. to be fair, it's installed in a hovercraft, and I'm not sure how to set up the fuel system. I've set up a slave supply using the electric pump feeding fuel from a mini, but that made the carbs overflow in a way that looks identical to other posts talking about having the petcock in the 'prime' position for too long.
My plan now is to try to replicate the bike installation exactly, using the petcock, fuel pump and filter from a 1997 donor bike, but is there anything else I'm missing (other than my marbles)?

Not sure how the American model differs from the British but as far as I know the carb bowls only overflow if the floats are sticking.
The standard setup is fuel tank, through a filter to the pump and straight to the carbs. Once the carbs are full, the floats close off the inlet and no more fuel gets in.
The electric pumps shut off due to the pressure, the vacuum pump on the older keeps pumping I believe it just doesn't have the power to make any headway.
If your carbs are overflowing I would suggest they need a strip and clean.

Carb diaphrams have a hole(s) in them ?
Someone who know what they're talking about will be along soon to help

Hi Jules this board is not the best one to post this type of thread and would be seen and possibly replied to, by more members, if it was posted in the General section. I am sure one of the mods will move it over sooner or later. Sounds a very interesting project you have going on there and I would like to hear and see (pics) more about it. Good luck Keith
