Braided hoses and new fluid should help the brakes.
Are the 'pipes' you refer to actually the subframe that carries the fairing ?

Some swear by blue spots as an 'upgrade' for the brakes, personally I reckon if braided lines are fitted, pads are in good order, calipers well maintained, they're more than adequate for most riders* The pipes you are referring to are the AIS system, emissions crap put on to quieten the global warming theorists of the EU protectorate, there are threads on here about removing 'em somewhere, with no detrimental effect to the the bikes well being. Regards, Trev. * unless you're riding god practising chiropractics.

I'd agree with you Trev, Brakes are perfectly adequate for someone who rides as slow as you. To be honest I have never had a real issue with the D9 brakes except once, fully loaded (yeh, yeh, isn't it always), doing mach 3 (OK 125 on the Clock), down the Autobahn when a Lorry decided to block my lane, had to throw that underwear away. Bevy has had the AIS removed on the D9 for some time, with no ill effects.

the air induction system, is on a few yams, took mine off the fazer, no effects. they are there just to grab air before combustion, and add after, to reduce these nasty emmission.
should you remove the system, you have to blank off the 'nipples' there are threads, as previously stated, on here to help.
