I'm home from the run to the seaside, it was great to see everyone at the morning break and lunch stop. Sorry I didn't make the start or stay with you after lunch, but I knew the extra miles would be too much for me and I needed to make sure Ciaran could get his bike out this morning before I left and spend a few miles remembering how to go round bends on 2 wheels. Tweety has now been dropped back off at his temporary home, it felt quite strange getting back into the car after a whole day on the bike, and it was interesting to notice how driving a car has now affected the way I ride (for the better). I'm exhausted now and I'm sure I'll suffer for my fun day out tomorrow, but I had a good day and it was just the therapy I needed Thankyou ukdiceman for organising the run and all those who took turns at marshalling. It was nice to know I wasn't holding you up at the back, although a little worrying for a while when I couldn't see either the rest of the group in front or the back markers in my mirrors. Hope to see you all again soon Doof

Had a great day, sorry I had to dash off at the end.
Thanks to Vaughan for a great route.
Think I should get started on my own run if I'm going to do one this year!

Early start today, latish finish - but worth the effort . Thanks Vaughan for inviting us out to play, great weather (nippy start!), great roads & stops, & great company. Luvverly! I enjoyed my stint as back-marker. Had plenty of playtime in the thick of it though, thanks to all the other markers. 477 miles for me today - I must say the XJ6 seat ain't as gentle on the derrière as the CB750 seat . Maybe I need to eat more pies to develop some padding . Hope to see many of you in a fortnight for another exciting instalment .

Thanks for everyone who turned up today, a chilly start but it soon warmed up, chips on the seafront and an ice cream in the afternoon sun! Great day, and great folks as usual, it was good to catch up with you all again, and some new faces, well for me anyway! It was my first run and I was glad I didn't loose anyone, well apart from Ian's brother, how did he miss Barmouth seafront, but Chris soon tracked him down! Thanks to the back markers, great job as usual. Hope you all made it home safely. Palm trees!

that was nothing, I went to Devon a few weeks ago, set off 6.00am, arrived back home 3.30am the following day, when I got there I felt unwell, so after a couple of hours I turned around and rode home, 850 miles in total, respect to Mike though, it was a long day for him, especially as I wouldn't run for home from Barmouth Anyhow the Fazer 1000 managed to average a surprisingly high 58mpg, but the Breva 750 did 78mpg, or so my brother tells me!
