Bit of a strange question
Does one revolution of the front wheel turn the speedometer cable one revolution or is the speedometer drive gear geared so say one revolution of the front wheel and the cable will turn five revolutions ?
Probably never been asked on here before but worth a go

I am removing the fairing on the bike and going down the electric speedometer also. The speedometer I am getting is a cheapo from ebay £30 to see how I like the look naked upgrading to a more expensive one later if i do like the look.
These seem to work by attaching a magnet to the wheel or brake disk then mounting a sensor / pick. I was trying to work out a way of using the original speedometer drive rather than making up brackets to hold the new sensor.
