Sorry chaps, won't be attending JR14 after all Carol's had an accident and broken her foot Not only will she not be able to ride up as she had planned, but the hospital can only give her an appointment to have her plaster checked on Friday when we were supposed to be travelling up. Despite any Macho bravado I might like to display I really can't leave her hobbling around on crutches all weekend whilst I swan off and enjoy myself, and it seems unfair to bring her up a day late and leave her in the B&B whilst I go out so we've decided to cancel the whole weekend. I've contacted Myrtle Bank Guest House and told Dora Mount, the Landlady, of our cancellation and she was brilliant - wouldn't take any money in compensation. She reckons she'll be able to sell the room "off the street" as she put it because it will be such a busy weekend but if anyone here is looking for a double, en-suite at £37.50 per person per night, and you get in quick, you could have our room - ring 01397 702034 See ya all on a meet later in the year hopefully. Roger

ooohhhhaaa best wishes with the speedy recovery Carol... mind you, sitting overlooking a lovely Loch, while sipping a wee dram, would, I'm sure , be far better for the invalid, than sat sitting in chesire doing 'normal' things, while roger goes to work, still !! just think, Carol would have 'friends' visiting each evening, to help take the pain away . AND you were going up in the transporter. still, to late now, you unbooked

GWS Carol. 1 days riding there is always worth a 2 day drive. Van packed in the morning, drive straight up after the appointment, you'll be there in time for a pint or two Friday night.

1 days riding there is always worth a 2 day drive. That might well be true in itself. But factor in that I'm not only stupidly busy myself but now also have to do Carol's work as well and it becomes a luxury I can't afford, regretably

Disgraceful! Neil
